Surgical dentistry includes all types of surgical treatment of soft and hard tissue in the oral cavity. Various conditions can make surgical interventions necessary. There may be a need to remove teeth, such as wisdom teeth, or to prepare the jawbone before installing a dental implant, to correct defects in the maxillofacial area, or otherwise. Treatment is carried out after thorough examinations and accurate diagnosis.

Does the dentist remove remnants of “wisdom teeth”?

Yes, this is a common procedure, often performed according to the indications of an orthodontist. Under anesthesia, the dentist carefully removes the tissue and gently removes the tooth.

Do wisdom teeth need to be removed?

We have to look at the indications and the whole. Generally, “eights”/”wisdom teeth” are removed if they do not emerge, if they are embedded in the bone, grow unevenly, cause discomfort or if they have begun to dissolve immediately after eruption. In other cases, it is not necessary to remove wisdom teeth.

Does it hurt to remove a tooth?

In our dental practice, we use good and safe anesthetics, which makes the procedure painless for the patient.

The tooth is broken, but does not hurt – should it be removed?

The dentist will give the exact answer after a full consultation and diagnosis.
